The Cardiospec^TM is a therapeutic system using Extracorporeal Shockwave Myocardial Revascularization (ESMR^TM) indicated to non-invasively provide improvement to areas of the heart no longer accessible by conventional revascularization methods. The treatment is performed using a shock wave generator designed to address pre-selected locations in the heart.A cardiac ultrasound imaging system (echocardiography) is used to locate and map the exact position of the treatment area. Shock waves are then delivered to the boarder of the ischemic treatment area under ECG R-wave gating. Several treatment sessions are required to obtain optimal results.
