The Cardiospec^TM uses Extracorporeal Shockwave Myocardial Revascularization (ESMR^TM)therapy for the non-invasive treatment of myocardial ischemia in patients with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). The treatment is performed using a shock wave generator designed to deliver low-intensity, focused shock waves to pre-selected locations in the patient heart. As the shock waves are delivered, local blood flow is increased, alleviating symptoms no longer treatable by conventional revascularization methods. Several treatment sessions are required to obtain optimal results.
