The E3000 high voltage generator is based on spark-gap technology. The electrode placed in the ellipsoid reflector createsshock waves that travel through waterand then to the effected area. The energy produced from the ignition of the electrode is reflected from the focal area (F1) and is concentrated on the stone, located at the second focal point (F2). The recurring pressure on the stone leads to its fragmentation, with little to no damage to the kidneys and surrounding areas.
